The procedure involves the application of ZOOM! Gel which is designed to be used with the ZOOM! Advanced Power light. The light and the gel work together to gently break down tooth discolouration and stains resulting in whiter teeth. There is a short preparation time at the beginning to cover lips and gums leaving only your teeth exposed. The ZOOM! Gel is then applied for 3 fifteen minute sessions for a total treatment time of 45 minutes.
Tooth Whitening can also be done at home using custom made fitted trays and prescription gel over a period of about 7 days. The process is slower than ‘in-chair’ tooth whitening but can be carried out in the comfort of your own home. The duration and frequency of application will depend on the severity of your discolouration.
